First Steps is TASC’s program for teens who are pregnant or currently parenting.
You must be enrolled and active in our First Steps program to be eligible for resources.
We provide free classes and educational opportunities to teen parents, as well as provide limited resources to teens enrolled in our program. We want to work with you to establish your goals and help you reach them.
By providing this support, we want to remove some of that burden so you can focus on finishing school, achieving your goals, and/or creating a great life for yourself and your new family.
You must be enrolled in the First Steps program to receive resources.
You can do this by completing the Application linked below.
Once we receive that, we will schedule a time to meet to discuss goals and help you identify at least one goal that is specific to you. It is our intention to help you breakdown these goals into smaller goals to help you achieve them.
Whether it’s finishing school, getting a job, or anything else, we will work with you to help make it happen.
From there, we will meet bi-weekly to check-in and assess how you’re doing. We can come to your school, go and grab some coffee, or meet in one of our offices.
If you have any questions about your child’s development, additional resources, or general questions, we will work together to find the best resource for you. We’ll do our best to provide you with the knowledge you need to succeed.
Each meeting you are eligible to receive:
One package of diapers (per child)
One package of wipes (per child, depending on package size)
One can of formula (if you use it)
We also have odds and ends available (clothes, bottles, pacifiers, etc.), so if you need something in particular, please don’t hesitate to ask.
If we don’t have the item, we’ll do our best to help you find it.
