The Closet represents a collection of resource initiatives that meet the needs of teens in NWA.
Christmas Teen Initiative: Teens in need of resources are referred by schools and probation officers. These needs mostly include clothing, shoes, and hygiene items, but we also allow space for teens to request special “wish list” items. Individuals, families, church groups, or corporate groups sponsor these teens by going shopping with the lists provided by TASC. Gifts are picked up by the students’ parents for a special Christmas memory.

Day of Promise: Teen girls unable to afford prom are referred by local high schools. One day in March, the girls are invited to attend our boutique, filled with gently used prom dresses, uplifting female volunteers, and gift certificates for hair and nail appointments! It’s a very special day.
Many thanks to all who have donated their dresses and products to this initiative! If you would like to volunteer on the Day of Promise planning committee, or as a one-day volunteer, click here.
Teens in need are also referred year-round by counselors and social workers for one-time needs of clothing, hygiene items, or school supplies. If you have a one-time need, fill out the application below:
